Dance X Fights To Be Named The Best

Dance X will fight against various dance troupes for the championship trophy on November 17, 2012 at the Skechers Streetdance Final Battle in the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Xavier’s very own dance troupe breezed through their elimination round last September 22 and is now part of the ten high school finalists participating in the tough final battle.

The ten high school finalists are Ateneo High School, Claret School of QC, Colegio de San Agustin, La Salle Greenhills, Marist School of Marikina, Miriam College High School, School of St. Anthony, St. Marks Institute, St. Paul College of Pasig, and Xavier School.

The winner of the final dance showdown will earn a grand prize of P100,000 along with the prestigious bragging rights that comes along with being named the best dance troupe in the country.

The battle will commence at 6pm and Xaverians who are supporting Dance X are asked to wear a yellow shirt or a Dance X shirt. For tickets, students can contact any Dance X member. They are currently selling Upper Box and Lower Box tickets. Upper Box tickets are sold at P320 each and is free seating. Lower Box tickets are at P640 each and have fixed seatings.

Now on its 8th year, Skechers Streetdance Battle is the most distinguished streetdance competition in the Philippines. Nearly a hundred dance crews participate, but there can only be one that will earn the title of the best high school dance crew in the country.

Dance X previously clinched the championships back in 2006 and are hungry for the title once more, proclaiming themselves to be undeniable this year.
